A society that has been infiltrated by digitalisation and mediatisation in all areas of life requires media education to be consolidated along the education path. To this end, it is essential that media education, which includes learning with and about media, is anchored in the curriculum of all subjects and in all pedagogy degree courses, and that teachers at universities and schools and experts at extracurricular educational institutions are appropriately qualified.
